Justin is one of Australia’s most qualified and successful corporate advisers on government relations and a recognised leader in the national government relations industry.
He was the Executive Director of WPP AUNZ Government Relations comprising high-profile government relations advisory/political lobbying firms Hawker Britton and Barton Deakin.
He was formerly Managing Director of Hawker Britton.
Justin is best-known for his expertise in corporate strategy in regulated industries, political issues of infrastructure financing, management strategies in professional services firms and major company transformations in professional services.
Justin holds a full-time MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) where he won the prestigious Boston Consulting Group prize for corporate strategy and the Butterworths prize for business law. He also holds a first-class honours in political economics.
Prior to joining Hawker Britton, Justin spent more than ten years as a political adviser to ministers and MPs in the federal parliament. He worked on Kim Beazley’s personal staff – during Beazley’s tenures as Minister for Finance, Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition – from 1994 to 1999.
He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the AGSM (University of New South Wales), President of the UNSW Business Alumni Advisory Board, a member of the UNSW Business Advisory Council and is the chair of the Sydney Symphony Vanguard, a body engaging the next generation of philanthropists with the orchestra.
